Elyse saw ENT last week. Second time seeing him. He asked me if she's gotten sick and i said nope. Just small colds, mainly sinus stuff. nothing major. he was relieved. His concern is that she could get sick because of her vocal cord paralysis. Her vocal cords don't close, so she can still aspirate leading to pneumonia and other problems. He's glad though that she's hasn't and that her voice is good too. He wants to see her in 6 months, just to make sure she's doing good. He said that IF she was to start to get sick alot, then he would inject her cord with something (i remember her first ENT telling me this when she was a baby) to make it alittle more bulky. I believe they use botox.
She also had a MRI/MRA of her head. Followup from August MRI (that showed changes - narrowing). I'm waiting very patiently for the results. :) I might give them a call on Wednesday if I don't hear from them. And today she saw her pulmonary who was also very happy to hear how well Elyse has been doing. She also asked me if she's been sick this winter. Elyse had a Lung Function Test and she said she did excellent. Her numbers were very good. She'll also wants to see her back in 6 months.
Oh and i forgot to mention. Ayden is also seeing Elyse's ENT. He is scheduled to have a Rigid bronchoscopy at the end of next month. He's going to require a overnight stay. :( The ENT wants to make sure Ayden doesn't have something called laryngeal cleft because of all the breathing and swallowing problems ayden has had.
yep. always something with my kids
Otherwise everyone is good. :) Elyse is doing great in kindergarten. Alex is a sophomore in HS! And babysitter is trying to potty train Ayden, even though i honestly don't think he's ready.. but he's cooperating (sometimes) and being able to catch is poop in the potty is much better than the blowouts he constantly has.
